This training will assist the attendees in the understanding, identification, and treatment for women who experience a Perinatal Mood Disorder so that they can most effectively and holistically support and assist the affected mother and her family towards wellness.

This course is part one of a two part series. Part two (optional) will be offered on December 13, 2019. Part two is not required to be taken with this class.

Objectives: Participants will

1. Differentiate between the symptoms of each Perinatal Mood Disorder: Baby blues, postpartumdepression, postpartum anxiety/panic, postpartum obsessive/compulsive, post-traumatic stress syndrome due to childbirth, postpartum psychosis.
2. Identify recommended screening measures for Perinatal Mood Disorders.
3. State 3 different treatment options for Perinatal Mood Disorders
4. Describe Perinatal Mood Disorder resources available to healthcare providers and consumers

Recommended for LBSW and LMSW beginning skill level.
