This workshop will explore the epidemiology of opioid abuse. Training will present the history as well as current concerns regarding opioid abuse at a national and state level. Additionally, presenter will explore the evolution from prescription to illicit opiate abuse as a changing trend. Particular focus will be on general addiction, the history and definitions related to opioids, and medication assisted treatment. You may take any of the three courses in the opioid series, you do not have to take all three. This program is eligible for MCBAP approval.
