This course will provide a basic framework for the identifying personal risk exposures and managing them through insurance, avoidance, or self-insurance. Major topics include risk identification and evaluation, risk management techniques, legal principles, life insurance, and the insurance industry. Also, other types of personal insurance, such as health, auto, disability, and liability will be covered, as well as the Social Security program.

Online Workshop

Gregg Dimkoff

Dr. Dimkoff is a professor of finance and Director of the Certified Financial Planning program at GVSU. He has a Ph.D. in finance and a BS degree in chemical engineering from Michigan State University, an MBA degree from Saint Louis University, and a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) degree from the American College. Professor Dimkoff has over 30 years of teaching experience with particular expertise in business finance, personal finance, insurance, and economics.
