Chronic Sorrow: Grief and Loss Related to Childhood Disability

This workshop explores grief parents experience when their child is diagnosed with a disability. It presents the structural problems and difficulties these individuals face and will critically examine stages of grief as it applies to chronic sorrow; effective coping strategies; and intervention strategies and techniques. Attendees will gain knowledge and skills to broaden and enrich delivery of services.
